There's nothing wrong per se with rating Caldara over Rugani... just the strangeness of acting like he is some guarantee to be the better of the two. Dude hasn't even played in a back 4 yet. Let alone for a top team.
True, but I think it's more to do with people losing faith in Rugani. For me he does not look like he's improving evey season and looks like his career stalled.

Can we at least give him a chance.
Why bother? According to Hydde, N96, and others Allegri doesn't ever play or develop youngsters. He's terrible at it.

Caldara should be sold. He'd be 5th choice here behind everyone. :D

That's a fair opinion. I'm still of the opinion he shall turn into something special. He started the season poorly imo. The Sampdoria loss being his low point. But he was mostly rock solid while starting 7 of our last 8 matches with scudetto on the line.

Any chance Caldara will have a buy back?

We did well trying to sign Godin. Bonucci, since he's on his knees now, as Plan B is fine. Will improve the backline.

But Caldara...

We're reyping them with Higuain though. Getting what we want and need while it's a poor, short-term-oriented deal for them.

But Caldara

Most of Tuz seems to think Rugani should have been sold instead. Because they all watched 30+ Atalanta matches last season and are experts on Caldara.
That hype though. Team is better today with Bonucci vs. Caldara. However, long term is still a crap move. That said, if they win CL this year and Bonucci plays a sizable role people won't care so much.

By the way, when was the last time one of these young Atalanta stars actually lived up to their hype? We had people here freaking out about missing both Kessie and Gagliardini (future NT captain ) and both have been quite average thus far.

Other young players of the last few years for them that had some hype... Baselli, Grassi, Bonaventura, etc? None of them performed at their new clubs.

It doesn't matter if Caldara is better than Bonucci, it matters that Caldara is 10 years younger, therefore his market value is significantly higher.
There can't be a straight swap, there is a considerable price difference, at least 15-20mil.
Imagine how much would we need to buy Romagnoli, this is what they practically getting.
If it's their term to accept the Higuain deal, then fine, but they should at least pay what's due...
At least that, we are sacrificing too much for Bonucci, noone should be above the team

I'd happily welcome back Bonucci the player. However Bonucci the person needs to learn how to put the team first and leave his ego aside.

Then again I don't have that vindictive streak in me that plenty on here seem to have.

I have vindictive streak in me. I am pure evil. I hate BonBon.

But I am also willing to flip 180 and fap myself to death over his return.
