Milan director Leonardo explained: "I've met with a range of clubs, including Juventus. The desire (to talk to Juve) came from him, so if the conditions are right, we'll try to make it happen."

So the desire came from him, not from us or Allegri.

:gsol: we want to satisfy him :gsol:
That was a fake quote no? Because in the same interview he said we offered them higuain and they rejected it. Sounds like bull

24 years old. 16M agent fees. Could still make plusvalenza if he flopped(which i doubt)

Nothing compared to what we're potentially expected to pay for 31 year old Bonucci.
Yes, but in terms of quality one is a proven WC CB and the other one a good-ish mid. The Bonucci wages are justified imo.

So, he was paid 4-4.5m a season when he was arguably at his best in Juve, shits on us and goes to our rivals and get a 8m, #HungrierThanEver, plays like crap for an entire season, begs us to take him back and asks for 6.5m ( a 2m raise from his previous contract with Juve)?

Justified ::lol3::

Even if he takes a paycut to 2M a year , if Caldara is going the other way with no buyback, it would be the shittiest deal in ages. Even Inter wont be able to top that.

Again, talking like you know the details of the deal. I agree, swapping Caldara for him is bad business. Swapping Caldara for him with a recompra is great business, though. if the people here would bother to be slightly objective it would be obvious that having Leo in our team in a CHL push season is better than having fucking Caldara right now. 10/10 crucial games Max will pick Barza over Caldara in crucial games because of experience this season anyway.

Furthermore, Elliot MNGMNT have publicly stated that their goal is to make money off of the Milan project. The most important thing they want to do is to balance the economy so they can sell the entire club for a good price in a couple of years. A Bonucci- Caldara swap with a recompra would actually be good business for them too. 1) they get 8m off the wage sheet 2) they get a good player for the defence who can hold his own in Serie a + EuropaL and 3) they get money in two years time when we buy him back.

As we are in a period where we have actual ambitions for the comming season it makes perfect sense to do the above deal. Caldara gets experience at a higher level than he would at Atalanta and will spend significantly more time on the pitch than he would here, we get to use a far superior player (atm) for our CHL push and get Caldara back in 2 seasons when it fits better.

Now Im not saying that this is going to go through like this, but it would make sense for both clubs.

But nooo, lets not even entertain the thought of doing good business because he celebrated against us. kek.

In no way shape or form is sending caldara to Milan even with a recompra a good deal for us.

He will not gain more experience at Milan. They are a shit show, and their team is a mess. If you wanted caldara to gain more experience and play with consistency we could of just sent him back to Atlanta where they have Gasperini who actually has been helping younger players develop. Also Milan and Atlanta are both in Europa, it's not like Milan is playing in the cl. If we were to ship him to Milan and add a recompra, all we are doing is spending money on bonucci who is not worth anywhere near the 40m and we are paying more for our own player to be developed at that mess of a club

Also if we want to further state our ambitions in the cl, we sign a wc midfielder not a defender who had arguably one of his worse seasons in his career.

Even though I've been playing the doom and gloom card, I do not see juve sending caldara anywhere. It makes no sense to deprive ourselves of both rugani and caldara.

Caldara going to that toxic environment could only be bad for us. Like you said, might as well have continued at Atalanta if he wanted more playing time. He's here to improve his level even more. It doesn't make sense for him to go to Milan with or without buyback.
