We'd have to pay €35M to get him back

We'd be a joke to pay that
that's basically his book value. milan don't wanna lose on him, and that's understandable.

but after agnelli's bank providing the bank guarantee to milan to get bonucci, why would we do milan an other favor? fuck 'em, and fuck bonbon too.

this mercato looked pretty good so far.

What if we're not getting the required(€60M) offers for Higuain from elsewhere ? They could be forcing our hand with this deal.

'You want €60M for your man, we'll do that only if you take Bonucci off our hands and satisfy our demands'

This could be entirely related to the Higuain situation. Both clubs could be doing each other a favour AGAIN.

If noone else wants Higuain, we want to sell him and he wants to leave, then Milan is fine, but please, keep your trash leader and captain, add Romagnoli instead and we have a deal.

they do need higuain, we don't need bonucci at all. in fact, bonucci was a liability for us, on and off the field.

btw you're saying that both clubs might do each other a favor again. what favor did milan do to juve exactly?

Matri funding our Tevez deal for example

That wasn't us scratching each other's back, Milan scratched our back and turned around to be ass raped
We did it 4 years later by taking a (crap) De Sciglio off them and selling Bonucci for a cut price.

The underlying point here is both clubs have done favours to each other in the past and will probably continue doing so.

how buying a player for a fair fee is a favor? did we do samp a favor when we bought zaza?

we could afford tevez without selling matri.
Player on the back off a crap season and depreciating market value. Milan are the only ones that even entertained the idea of spending money on him. Now let's not go back and do some revisionism on him about how 'good' he was. Milan took an unwanted player for us for a good price. We took an unwanted player off them last year who had been largely crap for them. We could be about to exchange two 'unwanted' players again albeit for financial reasons. Won't be surprised to see them spending €60M on him and us spending €35M on Bonucci so as to avoid a loss on each other's books.

ok, so we owe west ham a favor for the ogbonna deal. and thank god, city owes us one for tevez, too.

favor is what we did to tevez: he wanted desperately to go home, and we did our best to please him. milan didn't have the proper financial background to buy bonucci, so agnelli's bank provided the helping hand. these are favors. buying a player around his valuation isn't.

also, in my book, bonucci is an unwanted player at juve. we don't need an other cb, and we don't need bonucci himself at all.

im sure we want him deflecting shots into our own net again like 2 years ago. real force to be reckoned with in the CL
So.... one mistake defines his entire Juve-career despite being brilliant for years?

People here who doesn't want him bcs out of pure hate are ridicioulous tbh.

Bonucci is still a fantastic player who would be very nessessary at the back.

He made a pathetic mistake for leaving Juve, but he deserves a second chance without no doubt.

It was incredibly useful with Buffon in goal, because Buffon's weakness with the ball at his feet got worse and worse over the last few years. We saw it this year in CL when we had a nightmare time playing the ball out from the back with Buffon and Benatia-Chiello in front.

However, with Szczesny in goal, we don't really need Bonucci's passing to the same degree. Wojciech is a fantastic and accurate long ball passer, and can break the press with this when we're having trouble playing out from the back.

Regardless, don't want this guy back. He burned all the bridges over the last year.

The problem is he'd come back a changed man. I'm sure his mentality would be vastly improved, but I think his self confidence must be gone at this point.

It has nothing to do with hate. Taking back an ex girlfriend is usually a bad idea. It doesn't even matter why you broke up in the first place, whatever reason it might have been, it will most likely resurface a second time.
