Yeah, Bonny decided to hit Soriano on his speed dial and ask for a transfer. ''Bonucci called us'' most likely means that there were small talks between the player and City's representatives after the big bid. City were offering a lot of money and the board was deciding what to do, so Bonucci and his agent weighed the options. Paratici said no, so that was the end of that. Bonucci himself has admitted he was intrigued by the offer.

What ? He is overrated because of his ball playing skillz , he is good defender , but in my view he will never be in the level of Barzagli /Chiellini (In his best days) , Bonucci is really bad when it comes to 1vs1 :sergio:

I also think that without Chiellini and Barzagli by his side, Bonucci would never amount to being considered one of the best CB's right now.

His ball-playing skills are what made Guardiola like him so much, and I've noticed how after he said that all of the footballing world started seeing Bonucci as one of the best. Even though us Juve fans already knew he was great.

Still, he probably is a bit overrated atm, just because of that statement. Separate Bonucci from Juve, you'll get a solid defender prone to an error or few in the course of a season.

How about selling bonucci and raiding milan for donnaruma and romagnoli?

Donnaruma behind rugani and rogmanoli is a very promising prospect that can last with us for a decade, if not more... Getting them while sacrificing bonucci looks a very appealing gambling opportunity.

This is pretty accurate to me. But the way our team is set up, we need Bonucci's good attributes more than his bad ones. He's hardly ever forced into a 1 v 1 but his anticipation and ball playing is top notch.

If we ever switched from 3-5-2, I think I'd have to have Barzagli and Benatia ahead of him though.

Bonucci will soon be here a decade, such legacy is way more valuable than potential. Its not like we need money, if we want to acquire good players we can buy them

I disagree. This was true 2 seasons ago, but the guy has developed crazily and played in excellent form also in a 4 men defense.

I also thought he was dependent on that scheme to perform, but he proved it otherwise on the pitch.

He had a poor game yesterday, but you can undersand, specially with his son's problem.

Today I consider him a very solid defender also in a 4 men back.

What about the fact that Beppe always said (on several occasions and actually did it) we only sell our stars if they wanted to leave? Why did we not allow him to leave then?

Yeah, because it's bullshit, and those who are saying we should sell him can suck a dick.

1- Bonucci would never leave Juve. This team gave him the chance and turned him from a mediocre player at best...to a reliable ball playing defender. Also he played here with some big italian legends along his career and made a family here. He will not leave turin just because. The same with marchisio.

2- he is our only not injury prone dude in defence...playing crazy minutes every season. That reason alone is enought to not be sold.

The time of selling Bonucci sailed long ago. he should stay and find other alternatives of making funds. tats the more logical thing to do.

They can choke to death on a dick, and absolutely should do this.

I would gladly assist every single person that dares to speak badly about Bonucci other that he was not on his game (oh, is his kid nearly dying twice now ? Thats nothing serious right, guyse ?) to kill himself
Hence, need some help with the razerblade ? Perhaps the siringe ? Knife ?

Dont worry, i'll help you end your worthless piece of shit live

Agree, it sailed when we bought him. It sailed when he became the best ballplaying centreback in the world. It sailed when he was consistantly not injured and worldclass all year round. it sailed when he became a huge fucking leader in the dressingroom.

it sailed the moment he put on the juventus jersey

Bonucci to City for Thiago Silva?
By Football Italia staff

There are reports Juventus could release Leonardo Bonucci to Manchester City if they get Thiago Silva from Paris Saint-Germain.
It has been confirmed by City chief Ferran Soriano that Bonucci was interested in a move to England, as Pep Guardiola has referred to the defender as one of his favourite players.
In the end, club and player opted to stick together in Turin, but the situation is subject to change.
According to calciomercatoweb.it, Juventus are prepared to let Bonucci go if they get Thiago Silva as his replacement.
It’d be a huge bargain for the Bianconeri, as 32-year-old Brazilian Thiago Silva’s contract expires in June 2017, so he’d be a free agent.
Juventus director general Beppe Marotta already told Rai Sport that they are interested in his situation, calling it similar to the “opportunity” that arose with Andrea Pirlo.
The offer on the table from Manchester City is €60m with a five-year contract worth €8m per season net for Bonucci.
