There were a few moments in he game where I though this guys a great centre back in the making. Like how he kept his feet on the ground with the man city surge and adebayor had the ball. Nicely composed and hopefully he will continue to improve.

Only let in one real chance that resulted in the goal. I don't know how you can say he did badly when the defence was constantly under attack and we conceded shit all chances considering.

There are some people who insist on blaming the defender who is closest to the goal scorer when the goal is scored.

Very odd.
Very odd indeed.

Who would you blame though? De Ceglie for not tracking Johnson, or Chiellini for not being aware of Johnson running in behind him?

De Ceglie.

He dropped deeper than the rest of the defence to play him onside initially, then he failed to track the run.

I would blame Marshisio/Sissoko more than Chiellini for it, because Toure was allowed to wander through midfield and pick a pass under no pressure at all.

True. I wanted to mention De Ceglie and playing Johnson onside, but i wasn't sure of it.

Agreed about the midfield duo not applying enough pressure on Toure.
