Even as a part of a team that has won 3 consecutive championships and after becoming a regular starter in the Italian NT, we couldnt even make half of the ammount we have invested on him.
This is sad really. Speaks lots of him.

Teams should be knocking at our door desperate to buy him with what you said. But the truth is that everyone knows he is nothing special, so no one falls in our trap.

you are going to eat your words when he becomes our best cb this season.

srs, you are going to be so mad
OH Yeah right lion...i will pay you if he becomes good this season

Serious question, can someone tell me what are his strengths as a defender (I don't even consider him a defender myself) if any ?

Maybe just maybe he's decent in his Ariel game, but other than that ? And please for the love of god no-one should even mention remotely his passes because he keeps hoofing those passes endlessly for no results other than "very" few times.

The things that I know for sure is that he's one of the slowest defenders among top clubs (both his reaction and his pace) for his age. He's horrible, absolutely horrible when handling a 1-1 situation even against the most average attackers. His marking skills are poor to say the least.

I mean why he's even considered a defender !

Wrong.
I remember that recently he let in a goal from a corner were he was should vs shoulder with the goalscorer...and Bonucci derped hardcore in the covering..letting him score. He doesnt even jumped. Dont remember which goal was... but he doesnt even have the instinct to jump and bother attackers.

Yeah the guy he was marking pushed him off whilst looking at the ball and still managed to place his header well.

6'3 and he can't even make himself enough of a nuisance to put a man who's not even looking at him off of the ball even slightly.
