Higuain was by far and away the best forward we could get, and he absolutely delivered. I would have happely kept him. Then we got Ronaldo. So we now need to remove him from the books. Simple as that.
Caldara isnt an asset. Its some kid thats 7 years younger than Bonucci and we thought was a great talent. But we have Ronaldo now, and this is the time to make our greatest CL push.
So we need the best possible team, now.

Financially speaking he is, the kids reported price on the market (~45m) already is considerably higher than Bonucci's and I wouldn't expect it to go down, especially if he remains in Juve. Bonucci comes here and either retires here or we donate him a few seasons later, there's no resale value with Leo just like there isn't with Higuain as we're finding out.
I agree. Financially speaking we must be losing out by giving Caldara away. The truth is though we don't know how he will develop and every year added will probably take away from his resale price, unless he does extremely well. Let's not forget he's already 24 and not 21, like some people here think he is.
To me it's obvious that we have decided to go all in for the next 2-3 seasons. That's why we got Ronaldo as well.
