Probably overpaid. Could be decent or could be plagued by injuries. This deal could turn out to be a huge liability (aren't we trying to get rid of deadwood?).

Idk exactly about the wages but if it’s anything around €5M or so it should be ok given that it’s a 1year loan initially and he was probably earning more at PSG… afterall for a guy we expect to be a automatic starter and leader in our midfield this overall numbers rumored now are rather reasonable.

Also the fact it is an option and not automatic obligation gives us the possibility to quickly disperse of him from early on in case he turns out to not be good enough or if he has an injury ridden season, on the other hand there is also a huge upside in case he actually turns out good for us at this numbers, i guess we’ll see how it all eventually pans out.

I was kinda pissed to see chase Paredes but overall I think people exaggerate when it comes to his (non)quality. I think he's a good player. He was great in Rome and there was a reason why PSG went after him. Back then I even wanted him here. So I expect him to do good here and not to be anywhere near Rabiot, Bentancur, Arthur or even at this point Locatelli too.
However this whole mercato has been quite strange and so many moves seem totally random. With the right figures I'm totally fine with this move. 5mln loan and 15mln loan/obligation seems totally fine considering today's market. But I'm not gonna support this deal if he's getting crazy wages (anything over 5mln seem way too much).
