Is that a joke? Did you know that Germans back then had no choice but to join Hitler on his campaign for fear of being killed because they tried to resist? Obviously not..
You're right, in Italy it was the same. Every kid had to join. My dad has been a balilla (fascist youth group) too and he's strongly anti-fascist.

I dont get it. He's almost 80! lol.
They usually elect an old Pope because they do not want him changing a lot of things in the Catholic Church.

We should start calling Burke a Nazi too, then he will get offended.
I'll just tell everyone you are fat.

    Sieg Heil, mein Fürhrer!

He calls the Pope a Nazi, offending not only all the catholics but also all the Germans who are so tired of having Fascism thrown in their faces simply because they are German. BUT you call Burke a "Wigga" and he screams like just sold his testicles to a family of gypsies.
    Burke the "wigga." Fits perfectly.

Can we move on from the 1940s?

I am tired of seeing people go back there at any given excuse even now almost a (hundred) years later.

We can stop going back to the 1940's only if Wigga Burke takes down his Hitler posters and replaces them with a Farrah Fawcett poster.

    not funny
Given the very narrow minded and uninformative view on Berlusconi as a man and his politics and time in power and the on-going assumption that he is a power-driven individual it was quite funny. As an Italian and a devout Roman Catholic I can make the following statement with absolutely no shame and still consider it funny.

    Either that or...

    bite me.

Pope Berlusconi? Indeed that is humourous, however those two words can basically be considered Antonyms as far as I'm concerned.
This is why it is funny
