The market overvalues strikers and undervalues defensive midfielders it seems. Man U could justify spending 65m for Di Maria and a hefty loan for Falcao. They should have offered 65m for Vidal and offered 30-40m for Benatia. That would have made more sense.

So what you are saying is that we failed because we didn't address issues, yet United's mercato was better because they spent €150m on famous players whilst not addressing issues.

I'd actually call spending 200M on players and not fixing most of the issues in the team is pretty pathetic TBH.

You're kidding yourself if you think Rojo and Blind will fill in the huge gaps they have in defence and midfield.

I didnt mention Blind, I dont think he'll make much of a difference, and yes they did spend a lot but Di Maria and Falcao are world class, the players we signed either aren't or just have the potential to become world class, but thats still a gamble.

Its deadline day so they still have time to sign more players, if they don't sign any CB's then i'll agree they're pretty stupid cos their defence is abysmal atm..but theres still time.
