Well, we know Lippi loves to use the diamond in the midfield so we need somebody to replace Nedved behind the strikers. Lampard sounds like a player Lippi would want to fill that role.

Lampard could excel in the Serie A,because Italian defenders dont exactly defend 'upfront'.They defend from the box,and Lampard loves shooting from distance, which is one of the best ways to penetrate italian style defending IMO.

Lampard is a very gifted player and he may just be the right replacement for Alex.
He would be our "midfield general" for our campaigns to come. Now all we need to do is find out how loyal and hard working he would be.

Not really a necessity so we shouldn't be held to randsom by Chelski

Get a grip guys! Fat Frank is not coming to us. Yes we've got a bit of money but we're not gonna blow half of it on Lampard. All this media talk bout us being interested in him is a load of flannel. Move on to more of a realistic target.

I doubt it.. English midfielders.. Hmm.. He might go to Barca ..

I hope Lippi (if he really is our next coach) would go for a playmaker like Diego.. And a good defensiv midfilder like Alonso or Mascherano..

This is one of those threads that does not have anything with real life.
Lampard to Juve!!!!!????
That thing will never happen.
He is too valuable for Chelsea that noone from their management will dare to let him go.
And also he is an icon of Chelsea.
So why making such a stupid debate like this?

Because he has only one year left on his contract and is stalling on a new deal.

I suspect this is just a rumour to try and force Chelsea to give him a huge deal

Juventus are unsure of their next Coach, but the club continues its transfer strategy as Frank Lampard breaks off from Chelsea.

The Bianconeri return to Serie A next season after the Calciopoli scandal and although Didier Deschamps resigned late last night, director of sport Alessio Secco maintains the same approach to reconstructing the squad.

Juve have made no secret of their respect and admiration for Lampard, but the ‘News of the World’ claims that this could finally turn into a firm bid.

Contract renegotiations with Chelsea have hit so many problems that they have collapsed completely, leaving the England international open for a summer switch abroad.

As he has served more than three years under his existing contract and is over the age of 28, a new FIFA ruling means he could even buy himself out of the deal for just £9m.

A Stamford Bridge insider told the ‘News of the World’ that chances of reconciliation are “highly unlikely. This looks like the end of the road for Frank and Chelsea.”

Juventus face competition for his signature from Barcelona, Real Madrid and possibly Inter.

If Lampard cannot agree with Chelsea on a contract (=money) I don't see why he would go to Juve. I don't think that we can (or should) offer much more money than Chelsea, plus the chance to win titles is much bigger with Chelsea or the other clubs that want to buy him.
