Barcelona set deadline for Chelsea's Lampard

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has three of Europe's biggest clubs chasing him ahead of the summer market.

Barcelona, Inter Milan and Juventus have all expressed interest in Lampard and El Mundo Deportivo says the faltering Spanish champs have a fortnight to make a serious approach for the midfielder or risk losing him to Italy.

Steve Kutner, Lampard's agent, is seeking assurances from Barca intermediaries over their interest and wants an answer immediately after this week's FA Cup final against Manchester United.

Inter and Juve are said to have already made concrete offers to Lampard for season 2007/08.

Lampard would be a dream come true... an elite CM to co-ordinate the attack and be smart on the defensive.

That being said, unless Secco literally drives a dumptruck full of money to his house, whispers sweet nothings in his ear, and is seduced by the most beautiful ladies La Vecchia Signora can offer... he likely won't come here.

Of course, sometimes the allure of a challenge and guaranteed playing time can outweigh the CL requirement.

And this is really the current situation, he won't join us.

Lampard... ouch. I hope not.

Come on now - Lampard!?

First off he doesn't co-ordinate anyone's attack, he is in the right place at the right time and sometimes swings his boot goalwards, more often not.

Secondly if he goes it is only to Barca; his girlfriend is Catalan, spanish lessons etc. Here is another case of Juve getting thrown into every player's transfer talk with no foundation.

As much as i hate the EPL and english football in general, the 'English players arent good enough for Italy' theory is crap. The do have some world class players who could do extremley well in Italy.

Time has changed and so did the game..

Lampard would be a deam yes. I think he will do good with his solid form, and maybe improve, but I doubt he'd make it to italy.

Reason he's leaving Chelsea is for not getting CL with them. Nothing else! His next move will to be Barcelona, as he is longing to move there with his Catalan GF ..

Lampard is not one of them. His game is definately not suitable for the Serie A. Gerrard and Hargreaves would do.

Don't worry, mate. Cuti aka Michael_Cutajar doesn't like guys with girls on their avatars. :D

Here you go...;)

Frank Lampard of the Chelsea denied in the past days on some English tabloid an irremediable break with the management of the blues and with the patron Roman Abramovich. The gambler is discussing with the london club the renewal of the contract: "These are my people" and he was restive. Chelsea is my house and I hope that the negotiation for the renewal is concluded soon because my desire is that of to stay here". The gambler is continued with much caution from the Barcelona, but also Italian club like Inter and Juventus would be thinking about the English midfielder for strengthen they seek the in view of the next year.

Sorry for the bad translation.
