sure it would generate more interest and be great for serie A but no it wouldnt bridge the gap. there is multitude of reasons serie a is decades behind epl.

that we manage to stay relevant is a serious testament to the incredible work of our upper management

also the epl by virtue of being in britian and on brit tv is broadcast in a ridiculous amo8nt of countries. maybe if italy had conquered the world more recently than rome...

there a lot of problems with serie A including but not limited to openly racist fans, terrible city owned stadiums, "boring" styles of play, few household names, dinosaur owners who act out of pride instead of club interests, corruption everywhere, an ageing culture without broad international appeal.

English makes it a bit easier but that's overrated imo. People that don't speak italian can still follow the league like many of us would know. If Serie A had the best product quality wise, was more marketable and had better infrastructures, nobody would care about the language
