We could use this guy at midfield now that Padoin is fitting really well in the LB role (Evra will be the first choice of course). If we are to have a midfielder playing out of position, I prefer this to be Padoin than Asamoah.

I am not sure he is better than Evra at LB. The LB position shows Evra's advantages compared to Asa (tactically better as a defender, crossing) and hides Asamoah's advantages (mainly stamina). With the WB thing, it was a different story.

Also, if we are going to keep playing the current system, then our midfield is running thing again since Pereyra is moved to AMC/RW. And since Vidal is out of form as well, we could really use an extra athletic midfielder.

It's about 8 weeks recovery after the surgery but you never know after the surgery.Although you never know .Is it the same surgeon as Vidal's?Anyway he would be out whole January due to AFCON so it's not that big deal if the recovery process goes well.
