We couldn't beat them when it mattered.
It mattered more in the second game tbh. In the first, we didnt have llorente yet, the midfield had a poor day and the defence was in its blundering form

If we sign anyone it's probably going to be Kolarov IMO.
If we sign Kolarov, there is no need for naingollan.

but we should only do that, if conte plans on playing pogba more holding and asamoah and vidal more offensive.

that can work, with solid wingbacks

More than anything, I think Conte loves having him on the field, period. And since he doesn't want to split Pogba, Vidal and Pirlo he uses Asamoah on the left.

I like Radja, but I prefer him not coming. Simply because we should try to invest into lwb and get Asa on his natural position where he's amazing. I'd be happy if we get Kolarov, he was great with Lazio and I'm pretty sure he'd fit in here. He just needs to take massive wage cut.

If we fail to sign a LB this summer i will have lost all faith in the management. It's criminal to have Asa playing on the left side when he is so damn good through the centre.....

So one game against sassulo, in wich we scored early, is suddenly the benchmark, whilst countless games, most recently against madrid, arent ?

God, you "433" or "asamoah central, marchisio sold" fetishists shure take i far

Finding a good player for left back would obviously be ideal, but as somebody said in the Nainggolan thread, easier to find good CMs and Asamoah doesn't disappoint defensively.

But he can disappoint offensively.

If we're facing a well packed midfield we're going to have a hard time because we have close to zero penetration on the flanks. We can easily be in a place where our midfield and attack can't really be connected. It's the type of the match when we can only chase a draw. If we're in a position when we're losing it's a hell on Earth because we're pretty much clueless when it comes to counter-attacks.

The reason we paid 17 million for Asamoah is because he was so good in central midfield..... fyi he fucking sucks as a LB get over it.

Kolarov sucks. Nainggolan coming would mean we could still use Asamoah out left and maybe deploy Marchisio on the right flank. Marchisio used to play wide right so why not use him wide right, guys?

Ehh, good point I guess. But tactically it would be so sound that we might just have to do it. Moreover, it would mean Marchisio gets to play, which should always happen considering he's just so crucial to our success.

He doesnt. Come back when you learn about the basics of football mister "lets sell tevez"
I think the majority of this forum will tell u he is not a good lb to have. Sure he is solid defensively but he is playing a wing back role which means he must be able to contribute going forward. He contributes nothing at all on the left side in an attacking sense. So come back when u learn about the basics of the left back position.
