I've been a big fan of Asa for 3 years, I knew the guy is too good to sit on the bench, but didn't expect him to be that good. I'll stick to what I said back in June, if we get a proper LWB, then Asa have a big chance of benching Marchisio. He won't make it easy for Marco, and such competition would benefit the team in various ways

how would it benefit the team if only one and not both are on the pitch.

this 'play him in his actual position' debate is becoming more and more retarded by the day, Asa has given 2 MOTM performances at LWB now.

Love Asa, initially I thought he was more of a stopper and aggressive defensive midfielder. But he's very good with the ball, and is far more skilled than I thought. His work ethic fits right in with Conte's philosophy.

First of all, he has been great as a LWB (2MOTM performances), but if we get somebody that could do the job better, then Vidal, Marchisio and Asa would fight for 2 places in the middle. By having a strong competition for starting positions, the team would be able to get the best out of the players. No slacking in training/games, which usually happens when a big talent gap exist between the starters and the bench players. Now, with a strong bench, the players will push each other, it's a healthy competition when the players involved are mature enough to not make a big fuss if benched.

Why the heck this turns out to be a asamoah benches marchisio discussion, that's just retarded besides disloyal to somebody who has us already proven to be one of us. If he is going to play in the middle then he is going to compete with vidal, pirlo and marchisio for one of the 3 starter place and as we know there as so many games to compete there will be place for everybody in the turnaround.

Last year we had to make it for Vidal. This year Asamoah - he's just too good to be benched he's a true jewel. Asa and DC have covered our left flank, as for me we don't need 'a proper lwb'. I wouldn't waste anymore money as we really lack a striker. LWB problem seems to be solved by itself so now we can focus on bringing one of Dzeko - Llorente and we're set.

People saying he needs to play in midfield - no problem. We're going to play many matches this year and I'm sure Asamoah will get his chances to play in the middle while DC will be on the left. Marchisio and Vidal get yellow cards pretty often and playing 3 matches in a week will make them tired so rotation will be necessary.

Asamoah is our best summer transfer so far - there's no doubt about it.

And his natural position is DM.

Some fans are feeling threatened by Asa I wonder why ;)

Asa has been smiled upon by Kalunda, african snake god of virility and happiness, which is the reason he's packing an 11 inch ebony relic from the jurassic era under those trunks. Marchisio at times can be as limp on the field as in the bed chamber. Head down your local grocery, go to the canned goods section and find a can of vienna sausages. Open the can, and you'll get an accurate visual representation of Marchisio's endowement.
