i was more excited about having the hunter before i saw him than afterwards(seen a couple of ajax games recently). may be, he will improve (hard to tell), but for now he aint juve material.

Bringing in Hunter now or Rossi or, IMHO the best option, Giovinco, is to make the transition for when Ale retires at the end of the 2008-9 season.

He won't retire at 2008-9 as he is already offered a contract of two years by SUCKO while he is asking for three... so the minimum is 2009-10.

He has already hinted that he won't play that long several times in the Italian media, though.

2 years as a player, 2 years as a (fill in the blank--assistant coach, maybe???), then a Bettega-like long term thing.

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and happy to see so many Juve fans out there. Well I have been reading this thread for the past week and I notice that there are some Hunterlaar fans out there and some who don't think that he will fit with the team since we have Trezegol. But I think that that he would be a great purchase for next year, if we qualify for the Champions League. I have also read that Juve is interested in Peter Crouch, i know this is just rumours but they might also be somewhat true and i would personally prefer to see Hunterlaar in a Juve jersey rather than Peter Crouch.

Well I hope that Hunterlaars isn't a stupid player and only agrees to go to Chelsea for the money. He would be better of in another team that would allow him to play more often. Chel$ki already have: Drogba, Kalou, Pizarro, Sheva as their forwards. I hope that Roman realizes that if they buy Hunterlaar there won't be any minutes this year for his good friend Sheva.

I havent seen enough of Huntelaar to make a fair assesment..so i wont make an assesment here...but i have to ask,is he really that good??I'm ready to bet my right hand that more than half this forum havent watched him..instead they're judging him on his record in the eredivise..let me remind you,Kezman had a similar record..where is he now??

Kezman was an excellent finisher.I think he made the wrong choice in moving to Chelsea.The pace of the EPL effectivley killed him off.Huntelaar has an incredible goal scoring record,even if its only in the eredivise.His team mate Sneijder came up from the same supposedly inferior league,and so did Robben.Where are they now?Sneijder is winning Madrid games on his own and Robben is arguably the best winger in the world.The fact that the dutch league is inferior to the other leagues does not bother me at all.I wouldnt think twice before taking a chance on Huntelaar.As far as im concerned,Ajax produces the best young talent in europe.
