even if trez stays, i think huntelaar can be his understudy for one season. As already mentioned, Inzaghi was our main striker, and we also hd Kovacevic who was an absolute gun player, how he didnt get used more or why we sold him always bothered me, plus we had Trezeguet.
If Ranieri plans to play 3 forwards, then he has the right mix happening, but if trez stays and he gets injured, which is common for him, we dont have a good replacement, as Iaquinta isnt the pure bomber like Trez.
Support strikers: Del Piero, Palladino, Iaquinta, possibly Quagliarella
Main strikers: Trezeguet, Huntelaar
It might seem like a lot, but lets face it, Trez missing a lot games during the season, which will give Huntelaar enough playing time. Del Piero isnt a spring chicken anymore so we'll need the likes of Quagliarella and Palladino to help keep Del Piero fresh.
And if this is the system he wants to play, Camoranesi and Marchionni can both leave as they wish to anyway as Nedved and Salihamidzic are enough for wingers if need be.

I say sign Trez, buy The Hunter....sell Trez in a year.
