its not his natural position his strengths are all better used out wide its quite simply that simple. Pirlo's quality's suited the central role directing traffic terrific range of passing they are really generally different types.
but how come when younger... the same quality that made Pirlo perform in a deeper role now were the same quality why he did well as a trequartista?

and Henry was never considered good enough to play as a striker in Juve... yet that is where he has made his reputation now...

as players develop... their strengths & weaknesses varies... he might one day made it as a center midfielder...

there is no denyin' that at this point of time it seems unlikely... just like Pirlo was never suited to play deeper in midfield & Henry was only efficient on the flank...

pirlos deep role nowdays is not that much different to a trequerista
he still has to distribute the ball and set the tempo, the difference is that he does that from a deeper role, feedin primarily kaka and seedorf and not the strikers
his ability to distribute the ball is still being exploited

convertin a winger to that role is different because a winger is more used to/suited to making runs and crossing the ball, not so much in distributing it

Grygera isn't a leftback, and he isn't that good in his 'real' position anyway.
Pepe and Barzagli are risks for me. Salihamidzic works hard, but i'm not quite sure he's defensively that good, especially with three new average faces next to him.

Sissoko is for me heavily overrated on this forum. He is talented no doubt, but nowhere near leading us to the top spots. Zanetti for me is still the better player at the moment. Sneijder will be overrun, and he is a cocky brat anyway. He isn't as good as he thinks he is.

Like I said, a completely new 11 is a bad idea anyway.

Nice post..

Can you tell me how you would like our team to look like next season..?

From this mentioned I juse can't agree for that for SIssoko!
ANd why Grygera isn't good? If you are talking about using him as stopper, yes.
But have you seen him playing, he is good as a RB or LB...

I think people overrate players in over leagues because they are so attack minded. Players new to the serie a really need to be smart, patient and tactically sound. Please dont take the next comments as personal attacks but to play in the serie a you need to be much smarter than the EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, and Eredevise.
I kinda agree. Players like Kaka are brilliant going forward and are attack minded, however the difference between Rivaldo and Kaka was that kaka can be patient and can pass the ball about.

La liga has the space for the outragous moves.
EPL require high physical atribute, or at least the ability to adapt to the high pace.
Serie A you have to be both patient but cunning to out wit the oposition defenders.

(Or in the case of attacking Roma, just attack at full pace as often as possible.)

The Hunter coult do the business as he is a goal poachers, something that is appreciated in Serie A.

I do however think Sneijder given time could adapt to Serie A nicely.

Thanks to both. How I would like our team to look.. I posted a possible formation in the "I want want this player to juve "thread. Look it up :D.

I've seen him play as rb, he never plays lb, probably more than most of the people on this forum. He really isn't anything special.

Man Utd boss Ferguson to check on Huntelaar today
tribalfooball.com - May 19, 2007

Manchester United are planning a £12 million bid for Ajax strike-ace Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
The News of the World says United have requested FIVE tickets for today's play-off game against AZ Alkmaar.

And sources claim Red Devils boss Alex Ferguson and his brother Martin will be part of the scouting party who will take a look at the 23-year-old.

Ajax have all but resigned themselves to losing Huntelaar, top scorer in Holland this season with 37 goals.
