Juventus plan £15M bid for Ajax's Huntelaar
tribalfooball.com - April 30, 2007

Juventus are planning a £15 million bid for Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Gazzetta dell Sport says the young Holland international has been identified by Juve directors as the man to succeed David Trezeguet should the Frenchman choose to ask away at the end of this season.

Juve director Roberto Bettega was recently active in the Dutch transfer market and the Bianconeri already have Huntelaar's Ajax teammate, Zdenek Grygera, signed up for next term.

But look who Bayern plays against and who Juve will... I mean When a player goes to Bayern he thinks to himself: "ok so, now I'm gonna become a German champion", when he comes to Juve... he'll be like: "oh shit, now im gonna play against the likes of Milan, Inter, Roma, Lazio, Fiorentina"

dont know, but to me that sounds a lot more chalenging and attractive...

PS and right now Juve has truly legandary names (DP, Gigi, Nedved), the percpective of playing with those guys also mouthwatering, no?

PPS and Italy is a more interesting country than Gemany ever was :D
Yeah they will be pretty excited to play against Roma maybe he will think he can score six goals by himself and against Inter he will be scared to play couse Moratti could fuck him up and relegate to B. What I'm trying to say that clubs like Fiorentina, Lazio, Roma and maybe Inter are not excitening players anymore. Only Milan and Juve are clubs worthy to mention from Italy. Why?? Couse only we and Milan are making some inpact on the CL and other european cups.

A lot of people get mixed up in "value" players. The last thing this team needs is value players. Spend the money on a few really good players instead of a lot of ok ones. If the front office feel that Huntelaar is worth it, than they can spend the money on him. Certain player we will have to spend more money on, that is the facts. This isn't a video game where every player reaches their potential and young guys are just as good as proven vets. If we want a certain player we will have to cough it up. sorry.

perfect player for a perfect price
we should spend 15million, nothing more and nothing less..

and why would we be nuts ? 15 million is a good price..now well just have to wait and see if this rumour is true or not and wait for Ajax's reply

of course i would welcome huntelaar, great potential.
but right now i'd prefer building up a real solid defence and add some creativity to the midfield. With our current Defence we'll be strugling in serie a, especially if we we are to lose Buffon too!! and with one goal down, our midfield definitely needs improvement in order to open up smaller serie a teams notoriuosly defensive styles of play. always nice adding a talented striker, but Del Piero and Trezeguet has the quality, and we have a Palladino ready to step up. right, a big club needs 4-5 good strikers, but with our financial situation and being in the proces of building a new top-flight squad, perhaps we should go for a transfer free striker this coming season, and concentrate on buying quality for defence and midfield.
