His performance against Empoli, PSV and Napoli plus his injury overall don't impress me.
His injury didn't impress you? Like how was he supposed to get injured? Maybe while fly kicking the shit out of Barella resetting his hairstyle for good or a double footed lunge into Lautaro rebooting the 2bit brained midget into a salsa frenzy?

The expectations for Thuram are too high. He's coming off a pretty poor season for Nice and is far from fully developed.

He's looked better on the ball than I thought he would but there is still a lot for him to improve on.

Is this serious lol He had 20 minutes vs Empoli, 20 vs PSV and just 10 minutes vs Napoli. That's less then an hour in 3 games, when did he have enough playtime to dissapoint lol. Especially recovering from injury.

I will ignore the comment about the injury :haha:

Not to mention he has less then total of 120 minutes played so far. Like wheres the basic patience to just wait and watch a player before uttering defenite statements.

He is indeed good on the ball. His strength to hold off players while dribbling is something that we have missed over the past ten years!
We had Pjanic who could be blown off the ball by a hairdryer

Maybe I shouldn't be, but I'm actually shocked by some of the comments around the forums these days. After most of these people went through relegation, the 2000s, and right after the Allegri years, I would've thought if any fanbase understood that things take time sometimes it would be this one. Sure there have been more draws than we would like but unbeaten with 0 goals conceded so far, looking far better with a new coach already after 6 matches, and almost a whole new starting lineup? I'm optimistic still.

Are we though? The first couple of games were very good, but after that we have looked devoid of ideas. It's still early days, so I'm not really worried. But saying we look far better after a match day where we had zero shots on target is really stretching it on the other end of the spectrum. We are still struggling to create chances, our CF is increasingly isolated and most of our passes are without purpose. One of the major criticisms of Allegri was that he just let his players do whatever they wanted in the final third and "did not coach patterns" or some such. That hasn't changed. Players are still on their own in the final third doing whatever they want. I know it takes time, and will wait for it to happen. We are not looking far better right now, no where near.

Too early to say but we connect passes and look more solid. We are still missing creating but we have the players to do so. Lets wait and see. In any case, I definitely dont expect us to fight for the Scudetto (maybe next year)

But we've also conceded nothing and haven't lost. Under Allegri, it is almost guaranteed that this would not be the case. I think we will become more cohesive while attacking with time, it's a largely new squad remember. As for "coaching patterns," Allegri had years to fix that, Motta has had 3 preseason games and 6 matches that actually matter thus far. By the winter break is when I will judge.
