I guess by this stage we’re all thinking of just signing at least one CB already.

Tbh i haven’t seen much of him but from the stats and highlights seems to be a solid option, both for depth and also to potentially compete for a starting spot, ultimately if we can get him for a fee around what his transfermarkt valuation is it would be a fairly decent deal.

Otherwise what’s worrying is that he had a long injury at the start of this season that sidelined him for almost two months, which is listed only as ‘unknown injury’ lol, however seems to be fine now and been playing regularly again since mid October.

Damn this is the same guy who 'failed' a medical at Roma last summer
Damn, didn’t even figure it’s the same guy, i remember reading about both him and Lens contesting the failed medical and claiming that Roma supposedly wanted to back out of the deal for other reasons/change of plans lol

But actually he did have some health issues and i think that’s the ‘unknown injury’ that sidelined him at the start of the season…

Found some articles on it:

Frankly, after reading all of this, despite him being a solid CB option to consider we’d probably do better to stay away.

It was confirmed he had some issue but it was nothing harmful. It wasn't even an operation
"According to the latest update, Danso has minor, harmless scarring on his heart, which requires a small procedure to be carried out, which is likely to occur at some stage next week."

According to this it was even less harmful than Schick heart issue when Juve did his medicals.

Thanks for the clarifications, so ultimately it wasn’t a big problem but it still required a small procedure, and when it comes to heart issues it’s not something to take lightly, especially after seeing so many players collapsing on the pitch in this last couple of years it’s probably still better to be cautious and stay away…

But i guess he does seem fine now and clear to play, hopefully you are right and there’s nothing to really worry about anymore.

I wouldnt read too much into that. Roma were shady last summer. They failed two players on medicals or after they were visiting about to sign, simply because they decided last minute they wanted the freebies Hummels and Hermoso instead.
