We cant just asume that we get this guy for free next season. Things change really fast in the world of football. Suddenly an PL club comes with a big bid or the player changes his mind.

That happens all the time.

If we want keita, we should get him. If money is an issue, we have plenty of Deadwood to get rid of.

Why weren't you "meh" over Douglas Costa then?

On what basis do you say that? Do you consider him to be limited or just not good enough?

Remember: we didnt sign Schick. A backup SS could be very important for us, when Higgy fails to deliver or in worst case scenario is injured

1.) He is free next summer, try then. If we don't get him. All well.
2.) We need a CM, focus our money on that.
3.) Dybala, Higuain, D.Costa, Bernadeschi, Mandzukic, Pjaca, Cuadrado...we are already stacked. Add Kean to that list if you want an additional backup.
4.) What we have already gives us a lot of flexibility.

For the most part, those are my biggest reasons. Lastly, personal opinion of course, I don't think he is going to be all that special and seems to have an annoying attitude. If we buy him we buy him, I could care less. It isn't my money. If Para and Beppe think he is good enough, I'll happily admit I'm wrong when I see him perform well here.

We have more CMs than CAMs, Bernardeschi and DCosta will be played on lateral positions and will become starters for those positions be the end of the year. We need a dedicated Dybala sub, able to perform in that role.
Keira is a priority, among the 8 CMs we have, we can choose the 2 fittest ones.

15m

that's more like :beppe:
Lotito should either take that or eat dick next year.
Lazio/Lotito would be really retarded to reject such an offer and decide to keep him. I mean, wtf, you're not an elite club (neither are we), why reject 15-20mln offers for a guy you'd surely lose. They can buy some good players with that money.

Having said that, clubs (owners) are quite often pretty retarded.

They received better offers for him, but Keira is adamant on joining us, thus removing any form of leverage they normally would've had when selling

Napoli offered 30mln for Keita but it seems they couldn't find an agreement with the player/agent.

Our offer is 20mln and Lotito wants more.

Inter/Monaco are showing interest, although without a bid so far, so we're trying to seal the deal before it reaches the auction, which we kind of hate apparently.

Gazzetta dello Sport says our offer was 15-18mln
