Now there is one underrated player, for sure. Liverani has always impressed me and he is one of the best passers in Serie A...not to mention he has a very adept tactical sense of the game. I would easily take him at Juventus on a free this summer.
Liverani is one the best passers in serie A:shocked:

It's not about being Italian, it's about being the best
Depending on whether you have the slightest care for tradition and history, whether you care about the future of home grown players, whether you care about the longterm future of the italian national team...

Why is it that every opinion poll conducted in a country with a strong national league has come out the same... with the overwhelming majority of the citizens of that country being in favour of a limit on foreign players in their league... Are they all racists or fascists or whatever other name you wish to call them... Yeah right...

why should local youngsters , however talented be discarded because a foreigner is cheaper... a process that over time will only be detrimental to their own national team whoilst improving the quality of other countries n.t's...

Using your mode of racism or fascism being shown by those wanting a limit... the exact same could be said of those that dont want a limit as they are limiting the opportunities for youngsters within their own country...

there are some plans from UEFA for 2008 or something. they try to give the young players a chance. I think by 2008 every team must have 8 players in their first squad that are from their own youth system. This does not mean that all the players must have the nationality of the clubs country, but I think it is not gonna be easy for the team to get youth players from other countries. so these rules could force having more italian players.

Actionly I am absolutly not content with the way Juve is using young players. we don´t have any player from our youth teams. it is not that our players are not good, but they do not get any chance. I mean players like Gasbaronni or Palladino must get the chance to play for juve. I am sure that such players can show more if they get the chance to play in a big team.

who cares as long as they can play. and how is it about UEFA?
I'm one of those who are after the limited use of foreigners. UEFA comes to frame if there's will to change this current trend. IMHO Limitations can't be made just nationally if these rules(limits) would have effect on national top league.

This could be good, this could be bad. In bad scenario this would lead in top clubs looting throughout the world for 13/14 year old kids.

this is a dumb thread. i dont think juve should worry about how many italians they have. they should focus on good footballers. building a strong nucleas of good footballers is probably a better idea than building one of italian football players. and hey if you have a good italian footballer its a bonus. ex. Buffon, Del Piero, etc. But saying juve needs more italians is a kind of nationalist facism and not to mention disrespectful to good non italian footballers.

PS I wanted to use the word hitleresque instead of facist but I remembered I am not a member of the US congress.
I knew that someone will use these words.

TBH I prefer Juve to have more Italians than other players.Come on guys I don't want Juve to be like Inter(1-2 Italians) or like Milan(6-7 Italians).I'm not from Italy.I belive that this is not fascism.IMO now our team has great balance of Italians/foreigners.

I think he's at St. Ettiene or somewhere. And isnt he Swiss BTW?
Yes ,he is.But he is from our young capacities.I saw him playing for us only few times, and that was 03/04 when Lippi didn't have adecvate options in the attack: Del Piero,Di Vaio,Trez, all injured.

Internazionale, what a representative name for the club.....In the game against Messina the only Italian player at the field,in one moment, was Favalli. That's sad.

if juve was an "italian affair" many of us will not be in a juve forum
Why,the choice of supporting something or someone is a free will, you don't play for Juve ,you are just a supporter.:)
But you don't like Juve for having players from your country, you like Juve because some other reasons.
Personally,I prefer Italian players and Italian league, that is the main reason why I support an Italian team and no other.:)
