The pressing tactics of Pirlo is a bullshit tactic. Team plays pressings well like Liverpool or City is all pressing on opponent center back by their striker and two winger. They also commit many small tactical fouls to break up their opponent's flow pattern. With Pirlo and Juve, Ronaldo can not press all the times, it is understandable as he is 35 now. So Pirlo makes the midfielder to press opponent CB, so leaving a huge hole in the midfield for opponent to find space. That is tactical suicide.
There's also the obvious confusion from many players whenever we do happen to win the ball back, which is the exact opposite from the great pressing teams. We waste so many opportunities because players are just milling around unsure of whether they should attack or defend.

Imagine hearing back in 2018 that we refused cr7 because of Marotta. You would ask for his head on a platter.
Also we nearly won the cl because allegri is a master tactician, Marotta just threw wrenches in the spanner.
Absolutely zero evidence that Marotta didn’t want us to sign CR7. Seen that bandied about as matter of fact by all and sundry and still haven’t seen anyone confirm that.

Marotta has left nearly 3 years ago. Plenty of time for Secco v2 to properly replace both Vidal and Pogba. Most of these players have been brought in by Paratici. Stop blaming Marotta for this teams current failings. It’s borderline retarded
Pjanic and Khedira, despite their flaws, were incredibly intelligent midfielders. Incomparable to the current bunch.

I like it when Chiesa lines up a shot, you feel like it will always be decent. Someone like Cuadrado or Pjanic you feel like they'd hit an open net into row Z.
