I don’t get why we also just gave up on countering after Buffon passed it out from that save. I think it was Chiesa running forward with the ball and Morata up there too, but the rest of the team was just dawdling back by our box and no one came forward to support that counter. So Chiesa had to turn and pass back, and we just ended up passing sideways around the mid to end the half.

Thats happens alot and its Ronaldo thats usually shouting and telling them to push up and play faster.

Even worse was there was 1 minute in the half here, in a 1-1 match, why not push forward and try to punish them on the counter. Situational awareness there seems strange. Just was hoping that type of passivity would change this year.

Should be Chiesa. Needs to track back a touch more and help Danilo, who is all alone and getting embarrassed at times.
