We complain that Cuadrado wastes chances but quite frankly when he is isn’t in the line up we generate way fewer chances. It’s a trade off - deal with the occasional brain fart and poor decision or have an entirely stale right side that can’t hold possession. I can’t stress how much we rely on him in the build up. He has more possession than any player on our team today. 6.4% of possession. Arthur is second with 6% and third Bonucci with 4.8%. You wouldn’t expect your wingback to have that much possession usually. Cuadrado is essential for this team.
Juan Cuadrado would not be essential on a decent team. Yes, he seems to create a bunch, and he beats the first man a bunch, but 9/10 after that is a “brain fart”. Too many turnovers. Too many brain farts.
