It's not on Dybala, it's on the midfield

Not exclusively for sure. It’s a combination of things. But Dybala’s inability to play an all-around game is hampering us. Which means Allegri needs to adapt his role in the team. A front 2 would be best for him imo. But who knows until we change things up a bit.

Just play 4312 like we used in 2015.put Ronaldo and Dybala upfront and let thwm roam freely.
Play Costa /Bernardeschi behind them to link the midfield to the attack.
Let your fullbacks provide width and now you have a team which can be dangerous from middle and flanks.

4312 worked because we had a killer midfield and Tevez.

We really could use pogba in such game. He will be able to take some pressure off pjanic. Plus he keeps ball well and draws reckless fouls From opponents.

Matuidi really lacks technical ability at times lol. Seems really awkward on the ball.

He should hit the bench for a few matches imo. SHould have some dedicated fitness workouts and get his head focussed. His play has declined a lot in the last month, and he’s being sloppy and careless.

hard game with a physical side playing their game of the season on a terrible pitch. Nothing to judge the team on. Nothing new here, we are simply never going to play good football with these forward three and without Cuadrado and one of Berna/Costa on the pitch. What i do care about today however is sloppiness, mainly looking at Mandzukic and Ronaldo.

Oh, and people blaming Dybala. Just stop it.

Agree with this. With MdS as RB it’s tough as he offers little going forward, but once Cancelo is back id love to see this.

Problem is we don't have midfiels to make changes.
Bentancur has a Ban.
Khedira is injured and even when he is on he doesn't contribute to defending or make passes.
Just above average when attacking.

We really need at least 2 good mids this summer.
Even this winter.

A mid of Can, Pjanic and Matuidi isnt really a bad midfield. The problem is that we are just playing bad in general, as a team. We just dont have a clue when going forward. No attack plan. No ine knows what to do.

I still think it works here, with Bernadeschi as CAM especially. And it gives us the numbers in our mid to make it a bit stronger. Dybala playing further forward can do nothing but help him also. His best period, playing as a team player at least, was alongside Mandzu in 4-3-1-2 and 3-5-2 in his first year here.

He's not that player, you can't expect all players to be in the mould of Tevez but he's a massive talent. We should solve the midfield in order to give him better chance of success.

But that’s what I’m agreeing with. The experiment to turn him into a player in that mould has failed. Time to try something else.
