The players clearly lack motivation in these matches, and that’s partly on Allegri, but it’s also partly on the lack of competition in Serie A. After 7 straight scudetti, 4 domestic doubles in a row, quite a few could give two shits about these matches. Bare minimum to win is all that they care to do.

I can guarantee we’ll see a more motivated and focussed side in the CL knockouts. The question becomes whether some of these bad habits developed now will linger and come back to bite us in the ass.

That’s no excuse for today’s performance. The technical level was Sunday league quality from both teams.

Very sloppy and unfluid play. I think we need to put more midfielders in. Change formation. We don't have any connectivity. Looking like decapitated chickens.

We have 3 mids on the pitch. Allegri needs to maybe sub some of the players who seem to be lacking motivation to give much effort to these performances. Pjanic, Mandzukic, and perhaps Dybala.

Oh I agree. But the reason for it is obvious imo. And something that is difficult to fix.

He should hit the bench for a few matches imo. SHould have some dedicated fitness workouts and get his head focussed. His play has declined a lot in the last month, and he’s being sloppy and careless.

I thought Sandro was pretty good. Offensively not very good, but helped out defensively in some dangerous moments.

Problem is we don't have midfiels to make changes.
Bentancur has a Ban.
Khedira is injured and even when he is on he doesn't contribute to defending or make passes.
Just above average when attacking.

We really need at least 2 good mids this summer.
Even this winter.

Pretty bad half. Pitch is awful, which makes it harder but it seems like there's very little cohesion upfront. Torino is playing physical and we're doing the same but we probably need Costa after 60-70th minutes.

Sometimes this is definitely true, but even as one of his biggest fans on the forum, I can admit he’s been really poor in the majority of matches over the last 4-6 weeks. He’s not focussed, and also looks burnt out.

Just play 4312 like we used in 2015.put Ronaldo and Dybala upfront and let thwm roam freely.
Play Costa /Bernardeschi behind them to link the midfield to the attack.
Let your fullbacks provide width and now you have a team which can be dangerous from middle and flanks.
