He has been more involved than usually but it doesn't work well like this. If he is on a wing half of the time he is useless. Put a winger there. But yeah I'd rather take Dybala out and leave Mandzukic in the box.

It's very confusing. I'm guessing Max wants to use them to pin the opponent's fullbacks deeper, which in theory will help prevent some of their attack. Or he could be trying to force Dybala into a position other than #9 for like the 4th year in a row.

In these kind of games I often feel we win despite Allegri. I'm very concerned about his choices. It doesn't make any sense, based on what we have seen in the games. This has sucked every time. Then we change to using Cuads or Costa and we dominate. But next game it's back to the same lineup he picked as his default for the entire season. Either he is the most stubborn Italian coach, or something really complex is going on that we just can't understand.

Edit: and yes, of course we will win Seria A again, and of course Allegri decides to play well in March

I think the key issue is that Mandzukic has been scoring too much to not start, Ronaldo is Ronaldo and has to to start (obviously deserves to) and Dybala has been good as of late so he has to start as well
