It wasn't a penalty anyway but I don't understand VAR at all. It's seemingly based on the whim of individuals (the ref). I think we've had one pro-VAR call the whole season so far, that Dybala penalty earlier in the season. Not even a sniff at looking at another decision. But negative VAR decisions you can stack them up; penalties, goals chalked off, rightly or wrongly we've lost a fair few points based on those calls.
Anyway we generally look pretty comfortable even without a goal, which is pretty surprising for this fixture. We've almost crept into that mode where we look like we are just doing enough and have other gears to go into if we choose to put the tempo into it. You could see that in little periods where we pressed hard and countered quickly, then we go back into the slow passing routine. With Barcelona on the horizon I don't think anyone is really surprised, but this is a very important game too if you look at our fixture list.
