Higuain looks woeful out there. Confidence very low, looks like not being called up to the Argentina NT hasn't been good for his mental state. And he seriously should have at least tried to lose more weight in the off season.

We went into energy conservation mode after the goal. Pretty boring half.

We've done this for years under Allegri, don't know why it surprises anymore. Best case scenario is that we score 2-3 goals in the period where we actually put a lot of effort into the tempo and pushing the other team back. Then we go into a period of 20-30 minutes at a time where we contest the ball in the middle of the pitch with no tempo, kind of inviting the other team to come out so we can hit them on the counter attack.

I'm not going to doubt the way we do things by now because we've had almost perfect seasons using this method over the 50 or so games of a campaign, whereas we've seen other teams go on fire for a couple of months then level out and fall away.
