So boring. Obviously they are just sitting there and will take a point all day long but we have such a lack of fluidity and penetration, it's relatively easy to deal with us.
Allegri is changing the approach and personnel so often now it's no surprise, still trying to find an answer even at this stage. Simply put we have to win this game, and we have to find something resembling an attacking system because at this rate Serie A is going to be over quickly with many more weeks of us playing like this. All we do is move the ball to one side of the pitch and they follow, then off to the other side and they do the same, then hopeful centred pass with 3 men around Mandzukic. With such slow football in transition you can't get teams like this out of their system. 3-5-2 with Lichtsteiner as an attacking source is always going to be a struggle now, and Alex Sandro in current form offers less than he did. It's just crap and this approach is just hoping for the best, a bit of quality or a mistake.

Pretty poor, we look toothless and trying to walk it in the net. We need to be more direct.
The formation doesn't suit many of the players. Mandzukic is doing his usual running around and not staying central, but nobody is taking the space in the middle because Costa likes to stay left and Dybala is deep or on the right.
Costa, Matuidi and Alex Sandro all want to play on the wide left so there is no space. Both Costa and Matuidi need to play more centrally, when they have Matuidi has missed two easy chances.
Lichsteiner also offers little going forward and the formation relies on him to create from the right. To his credit he is the one player who has recognised that Mandzukic is rarely in the box and he has been getting in there instead.
Marchisio, Howedes and Benatia have been good.

Guys you need to chill. I understand the frustration, after the long string of unfortunate results. BUT look at the bright side, the 4-2-3-1 was not working for, we underperformed immensely, there can't be any worse than that.
Some of our players are heavily strained in the first part of the season, we have quite a few injuries, yet some returns too.
So changes were imminent, both on the formation and on faces.
Crotone playing in our home is a great opportunity to introduce the returning faces and farther build upon tweaks on the new formation.
Regarding all these and having them in mind, i am quite pleased, as everything is more or less as i expected
