Btw you guys noticed Pogba's new role for this game? He NEVER goes to left as CM as he allways does, only seen him twice there so far, otherwise left side is left entirely to Sandro (who is very dissapointing so far, nothing going forward). Little to no support from Pogba (occasionally Morata), who spents this whole half so far in dead centre of the field. He has been able to hold up play and make us dominate all easier there. I hope its not a role thats just for this match up, like how easy he goes through players there.
It's interesting though, as Alex Sandro has looked much poorer than usual in the first half, without Pogba supporting him on that side going forward.

Is he thus impinging on Marchisio's space though?
Kinda, but Marchisio doesnt seem to mind because Claudio never pushes forward while Pogba does, Marchisio seems to be going wherever thats needed, occasionally left or right to cover others but mainly dead centre as DM. While Pogba starts play centrally and combines with others all the time, has had some very dope runs from the middle that lead to some close long shots, nice he tries, but this effortless counters he starts should be finished off with passes from him.

Btw another thing thats underrated and that I LOVE is Bonucci's penetrating low long passes to Dybala, he pretty much opens up the attack with one single pass several occasions now, not many defenders who can pull off passes like that with ease.

How would we go playing a 2-1-3-4 with both Morata and Mandzu up front with Dybala in behind playing as a treq?
Don't like that, maybe if we are in need of goal in some in game situation, but as a standard formation, it's a no go for me, as Dybala is not a Treq, he's more dangerous closer to the goal. And both Morata and Mandzu are CFs.

Something is off with Sandro in general this game even if he doesnt get much support, he took care of his bussiness defensively, but offensively he is not making the right decisions at all. He had few instances where he bulldozed or dribbled 2 players easily, but when he gets near box is passing or shooting has been quite off.

His worst game so far...
I think it has to do with what Osman was mentioning about Pogba playing almost dead central and not so much fixed on that left side of the mid. He hasn't really had any support out there, so he's constantly beating a man, or winning the ball back, and then immediately losing it or giving it away as there is no one there to support.

You think that's a because of the opponent or because Morata is playing? He's doing great where he's playing now, linking up with Dybala even more (what a combo) but he's done some amazing things on the left this season as well.

Agree.

He's also inexplicably just given the ball away a few times, without even being pressured hard.
