Conte made the right call. Genoa are absolutely rabid out there and we need a lot of our best players away at the Marassi. I'm tired of reading about the "rest players for EL" talk. There are 3 restdays between now and Thursday, and since we're playing in the evening on Thursday one can even look at it as 4 entire days of rest before the match vs. Fiorentina will be played.

These are top level, pro athletes, and they can cope with that. So chill out, geez.

I find it amusing also. Top players on other sides aren't rested. C.Ronaldo and Messi play every single game on their sides' schedule if they are not injured. As do many of the first choice XI on those teams. Very occasionally are they rotated and almost never in league, especially away from home.

Well like I said, technically it's 4 days. Besides, Barzagli and Tevez will be back.

We are in a great position in the league and the title is very likely ours, but it's not done and dusted quite yet. Roma has a game in hand and we still have to play Roma and Napoli away, so .... with 4, yes, 4 days between now and the Viola match, I don't think it's a horrible decision by Conte to field these starters.

That said, resting is required in some instances, but I don't really see our current situation this week as one.

We have top players like Vidal and Pogba that should not need to be rotated all the time. Real Madrid and Barca and PSG and ManCity, and all these other sides with deep benches hardly rotate their top 5-6 players. It's the the remaining 4-5 that aren't guaranteed first XI spots anyways that are rotated.
