I'm not watching the match, but can somebody justify this? What, did Almiron turn and shoot on our own goal or something?
He's just not in it at all... he's totally porous, and he got himself booked. He didn't look like he was really beaking off, but obviously he said enough for the ref to give him the red.

Playing bad + getting ejected = may have cost them the cup run

Maybe they can bounce back with 10 men.

Pretty much... if Ranieri knew he was playing this kind of (ugly) system... why would he sign Tiago (who barely fits) and Almiron (who doesn't fit at all).
They are not bad...Ranieri is.Can people realise that when they joined Juve Ranieri is the one who destroyed them.Remeber how was Almiron at Empoli? Two years in a row he was one of best players in Serie A.Tiago is good. He`s not giving him chance to show that and even when he shows his quality,Ranieri bench him again.

I am sure Tiago will get to play more, he tries to add his character to the game. I am sure Almiron will be sold.

I'm definitely not arguing that.... what's he's doing is like asking defenders to play as strikers. Ranieri is asking them to use skillsets that they simply don't have, despite the fact that their proper use is of real benefit... Tiago has demonstrated that even in this system. Though Almiron looked just horrid... maybe its too late to salvage him. Watch him perk right up again after being transferred.
