Where did you hear that? That would mean that DP, Legro, Nedved aren't going Euro, that De Ceglie will return for sure and Almiron isn't being bought by Monaco.

MELBOURNE Victory is set to take on Italian giant Juventus in a big-money friendly at the end of May at the Telstra Dome.

An official announcement is expected today or tomorrow, with the game set for May 30.

Juventus is playing post-season friendlies throughout the Asia-Pacific region, and Victory would play it after its game in Hong Kong.

Top players could be absent, in the Italian squad preparing for the European Championships. Juve is back in the Serie A this season, having been relegated last year over match-fixing.

This is the post from a guy in the melbourne victory forums

    MVFC vs Juventus, 30/05/2008 (RUMOUR)
Kepp this date free as it is the day Melbourne Victory FC play Juventus. The game will start at 7:30pm and one of the conditions of the game going ahead is Alessandro Del Piero must play.

My sources are from both within the club and from someone who works at Telstra Dome.

The game will be announced at a press conference this friday 18/4/2008.

    Thanks
    Footballmagic
    i hope its true !

Its not. There is no way a condition like must have Ale is feasible or realistic, just bullshit. He is outright lying to hype up this little event.

But it will be cool enough seeing the fringe players. Not to mention, Giovinco!

Its official and tickets for the melbourne game are out Wednesday for non-victory members.
And Burke the guy is lying, the condition was that all the players that weren't involved in the euros will be coming.

Notice in the picture that the printing on the shirt is in black :D
