According to BBC's website were going to play a friendly with non league side West Auckland from Durham on August the 1st.

Durham minnows will play Juventus

Durham non-League club West Auckland Town are to play Italian side Juventus in a friendly in Turin on 1 August.

The trip marks the 100-year anniversary of the club's 6-1 defeat of Juve to win the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy, which was later dubbed 'the first World Cup.'

A £10,000 donation from the Football Association has enabled the Northern League outfit to make the journey.

"We are delighted to support West Auckland FC's return to Turin," said FA chairman Lord Triesman.

"It's so important they are able to celebrate the 100th anniversary of their famous match with Juventus.

"This is a wonderful story and it's only right that they will be in Italy to commemorate the remarkable achievement of winning the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy."

The trophy is widely seen as the forerunner to the Jules Rimet Trophy, which was won by England in 1966.

West Auckland, then a team mainly made up of coal miners, defeated German side Stuttgart in the inaugural competition in 1907 before beating Winterthur of Switzerland 2-0 in the final.

Two years later, they retained the trophy - which became theirs to keep - by beating Zurich in the opening match and then trouncing Juventus.

It is the first game in the preseason friendlies, we can try out a few options in the lineup and it will be quite a show. I digg this kind of history lessons - it is something I think we forget in the era of 100 mil. euros transfers...
Those people were as far from rich and stars as probably the members of this forum and they still had the spirit to fight.

Primavera to play friendly match against West-Auckland

As agreed a while ago, the two clubs will play a friendly match on the 1st of August which will see Juventus Primavera against the Under 19 squad of West-Auckland. The match, therefore will not be one between the first teams as announced on some media. The international friendly will see the participation of Luciano Bruni’s team and will be played in Chiusa Pesio at 17:00hrs. The aim of the match is to commemorate the victory of West-Auckland in what could be defined as the first Clubs World Cup, the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy which was played in 1909 and which also saw the participation of Juventus. BBC will be sending a troupe to follow the team and produce a special programme.

ith goals by Esposito and Giovinco (two goals each), a great goal by Almiron (a lob from 30 metres), a header by Serino and a right-footed kick by Filippo Boniperti, grandson of Giampiero, adding an ulterior dose of history to the result.

wtf?
this guy is 30 and plays with the primavera? oh lord... he must be the pedobear

He is training at home, not gotten any game time, so ofcourse he plays with the primavera for fitness, happens that 1-2 senior players do that at times when needed.
