Six previous encounters with five wins for the Bianconeri from Turin, and an incredible draw in their last game, a 3-3 result in 2009/10 season with Juventus in front 3-0 and Siena good in coming from behind.
The series of victories started on 8 January 2004. The stadium was white with snow and Juve overcame their rival 4-2 thanks to a hat trick form Del Piero and a goal from Trezeguet before Ventola scoring a double.
A similar outcome in the next season: Del Piero was the match winner again by netting twice, and Emerson entered the scoresheet as well.
In 2005-2006, the score was less sharp, but the dynamics of the match was the same with Trezeguet and Cannavaro sealing the victory in the first half. The game finished 2-0.
The same result also occurred in 2007/08 season. A goal per half: Salihamidzic started with a glide in the box, and Trezeguet with a wonderful right-footed shot allowed Juventus to clinch the three points.
Finally, Juventus v Siena dated 2008-09 was decided by Del Piero again, who with 8 goals can be considered as the Tuscans’ ‘bête noire’. His brilliance came from a free-kick and it was enough to guarantee Juventus the three points in their first game in 2009.
