I think the schedule is good .. average matches at the beginning and the end too for us .. It's important we don't face teams participating in the Intertoto Cup (Perugia, Brescia) in the early rounds since their fitness levels will obviously be much higher than the other teams in Serie A .. The first thing I usually look for when the fixtures are released is that the last match would be a 'home' match so that we can celebrate the Scudetto at the Delle Alpi, but it won't happen this year coz we will celebrate it in Siena instead ..

i personally dont care when we play roma and inter etc...

Chievo wont be easy, but at the start of season, both teams will be still working towards being gelled again etc...

playing Roma early is good. i'd rather play them then, rather than playing them later when they hit top form.

As for Inter, Lazio and Parma, the same thing goes. by then, i think the teams are still working towards top gear if you get my drift.

What makes you so sure Roma will hit top form later rather than early on? According to Capello, they are having the best pre-season ever since he arrived at the club ..

i think Roma will start very well but fade away because they dont have squad depth.

They're starting 11 are awesome, but an injury to totti or Cassano would ruin them.

BTW, Chivu and Samuel would be tough to beat :stress:

You're right Majed .. Roma do not look like a 'complete' side .. they still need 1 or 2 more signings ..

Anyway, if Emerson joins Chelski I think this will break their season .. I think he is the second most important player, after Totti ..

actually, i heard Cappello is gonna go with a 3-man defence of
    ---Zebina--Samuel--Chivu---

Candella would then move to LM.

    Hmm, interesting ..

But until now he was playing with 4 defenders in the pre-season matches:

    (Candela-Chivu-Samuel-Mancini)

I think that Roma will indeed start strong, and I'm expecting Cassano to have a break-out season. Hopefully we sort out our defensive problems before we meet them and Neddy, Micco, DP and Treze will need to be on top form if we're to get passed Chivu and Samuel.

Our Juventus will start the season at home in the Delle Alpi stadium where they will host Empoli.

Lazio Roma too will start at home, in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome where they will face promoted club Lecce.

Inter Milano start in the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, facing Modena.

    Acona host giants AC Milano.

    Udinese will host AS Roma.

The rest of the calender will follow soon :)
