Look, I'm partial to a barcode. My favourite video game character (Hitman's Agent 47) has a fucking barcode on the back of his bald head. But this does NOT belong on our shirt FFS.

Do you think they are worried about the North American market? As in black and white stripes reminding people of Foot Locker and NFL referees? There has to be some explanation for this shit.

I remember this being mentioned years ago, wouldn't surprise me. They'll deny it of course.

Only step left for the final humiliation would be to get rid of the colours and make the club colours something else.

Arsenal always have to have a solid red with white sleeves, it's even more fixed than our stripes. As such their home kit always looks very similar. With stripes they can do all sorts of variations. The halved kit was the biggest insult, bit I agree the club consented to it.

Our home jersey is hard to get wrong, but we give them free reign.

Adidas had an open net from the penalty spot and they choked it away.

Wow that's a bit of a hot mess, does it scan at the till? I know it's hard to make black and white stripes exciting but a fucking barcode?

Why the black panels down the sleeve?

It's all a bit confused imho
The entire reason it works so well is simplicity.

It's like Real Madrid's jersey: the fact that it's just white makes it beautiful and stylish. Everything you add just makes it worse. I think our 2014-2015 kit was drop dead gorgeous and it was very simple.

Adidas always make Arsenal kits simple and classy yet they always want to fuck with us

I actually think it's JJ trying to be hip and cool that is the issue. It's not adidas.

It'd be a hard task to me to pick a decent kit which is supplied by Adidas. Arsenal is the only satisfactory kit I would pick. The official website lists the best-selling kits 2024/25 and if you look at them you'll realise most of items have been sold because of the name of players like messi or because of the popularity clubs like R.madrid and not for the design. Arsenal is listed in the website that makes me think they have decent kit.
