Guys,

anything related to our teams pre-season training (including photos), please post here

After two training sessions, Ranieri was able to talk about his training methods and about what's in store for his players. “My teams use the ball straight away, albeit in small doses. When we first got on the pitch, I noticed the guys had trainers on - I immediately told them to change into football boots. This allows them to work better, with a smile on their faces. In the first few days the work will be physical, technical and tactical; we'll try and improve resistance and strength together, not preferring one over the other, while obviously trying to protect the physical integrity of the players as well. This method of mine has been partially influenced by my experiences abroad; this is also why I chose to have a pro like Damiano with me: he has worked in France and can bring that particular experience to the table”.

Two sessions - not really enough to make a first assessment, but enough to get a feeling, and it's an entirely positive one: “I found the group in good shape. It's natural at this stage for some players to suffer more while others get fit quicker. But I like the positive spirit. Even from those players, like the ones who played in the recent Under 21 European Championships, who have only had a couple of weeks' holidays but have nevertheless joined the group with a lot of enthusiasm. Or like Del Piero, who came here with a minor injury but is really eager to get back on the pitch. At this stage it is vital to create a group, I have to get to know the players and most of all they have to get to know me. Our opponents are already proper teams; we still have to become a team. That's why training camp is so important. And here in Pinzolo we can really have a fruitful one".

It seems like Ranieri is doing a good job, better then Deschamps, in his approach to the training.
    It's unfair to compare
we dont know how DD conducted his training sessions

IMO doing it differently is the right way not because it is a better method but because by changing the trainnig procedure renieri will impose his own character into the team
