True, Chimenti was not guilty. Our marking of the Perugia players was AWFUL today and everytime Perugia had an attack one or two players were without a juve defender near him.

Do I care? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo ... we are the champsssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :touched: :touched: :touched:

Serie A Wrap: Juve Draw With Perugia To Claim Scudetto

Di Vaio helped Lippi's men to the Scudetto
05/10/2003. Fabio Grosso scored a late, late leveller to give Perugia a 2-2 draw at Juventus, but the Bianconeri secured the Scudetto after Inter could only manage a 1-1 tie at home to Parma.

David Trezeguet gave Juve the lead from the spot at the Stadio Delle Alpi, but Fabrizio Miccoli scored a deserved first-half equaliser. Marco Di Vaio put the Old Lady ahead right after half-time with a fine individual goal, and although Grosso scored for Perugia in the 89th minute, there were celebrations as the San Siro result was confirmed.

Mohammed Kallon gave Inter the lead at home to Parma in that match, but the Gialoblu levelled through Adrian Mutu.

Serie A Report: JUVE MAKE IT 27!

Celebration time for Juve!
05/10/2003. As expected, Juve won their Scudetto number 27 thanks to a 2-2 home draw against Perugia. The Bianconeri were expected to win this match, but since Inter didn't manage to defeat Parma one point is enough for Lippi's men to celebrate their umpteenth triumph.

Quite surprisingly, Juventus struggled in the first part of the match. Differently from the Bianconeri, who looked very tense and confused, Perugia played without any kind of pressure and gave Lippi's men plenty of troubles during all of the first 45 minutes.

The Grifoni went close to the lead after only three minutes with a shot by Vryzas, while moments later a goal by Tedesco was disallowed for offside.

All of a sudden, in the 25th minute, the hosts took the lead with Trezeguet. Sogliano took down Di Vaio inside the box and the referee whistled a dubious penalty kick: the French striker didn't miss the chance and gave Juve the 1-0.

Five minutes later Tacchinardi went close to the 2-0 with a shot that hit Kalc's post, but Perugia reacted promplty and leveled the score ten minutes before halftime with a superb volley shot by Miccoli.

Juve didn't manage to react duly and the guests went even close to the lead in the 39th minute with two straight shots by Tedesco and Vryzas, both very well saved by Buffon.

During the break, Lippi probably told his players the right words, as less than one minute into the second half Di Vaio gave Juve the lead at the end of a superb play.

The Bianconeri looked a totally different team and started dominating the match, missing a couple of great chances to score the third goal with Trezeguet and DI Vaio.

In the following minutes the hosts controlled the match without any problem, and following the news of Parma's equalizer against Inter the fans could start celebrating their 27th Scudetto. The 1-1 scored in the last seconds by Grosso didn't spoil Juve's party.
