Next Gen has a Montero problem. Theres more talent than the results suggest, but these guys dont play like a team. Defense is compromised, Daffara has to play hero every week. Offense has no fluidity, weird lineup choices.

Contrast with primavera where theres a manager with clear ideas. I would say promote him and fire Montero but the real talent is with his squad so maybe just leave them there lol

i don't exclude coaching problem but building teams takes time and next gen has to be rebuilt every year. next gen started last season slowly too, even though they didn't concede that much, but i remember that early in the season they were close to the relegation positions too. of course nothing guarantees that with montero they can turn it around, point is that young players who barely know each other won't miraculously turn into a team within a month or two

#PedroFelipe returned to training with the group after the injury.
Great news for Montero and, if you want, for #ThiagoMotta and #Juventus. To numerically replace the injured Bremer, Felipe is the most ready for the leap to the first team @junews24com

10 minute red card is always useful.

Think it's a mix of things this season, but certainly the league allocation is far from ideal. The team also always starts very slowly, for obvious reasons, but not normally this badly.

last season vs current one, after 9 games:

7 points vs 6, much worse goal difference. team scores more but the defense is terrible this season. that's what you get when you replace with muharemovic, savona and barbieri, now playing in serie b and a, with even younger, even less experienced players, and get rid of hasa, cerri, sekulov, rouhi, nonge, who all play in better competitions now. and i probably forgot a few others

i'm not worried one bit. this team was created to provide an opportunity to grow, not to win. and of course you can not build a team in a few weeks anyway, at least not from inexperienced youngsters. if they avoid relegation and provide one or two acceptable backup players for the first team, it's all right

Ive noticed Vinarcik training with the first team, I wonder why. I guess di gregorio was on international duty but he was back today and Vinarcik still trained with the squad.

Hes a very interesting prospect on paper, I just havent really watched him play. Agresti talked him up last season, said the club really likes him. Between him and Daffara theyre stacked at the position.

I was talking to Beppe (GJustJuve) about Montero and next gen when we met in Torino the other week, we both agree he's a disaster but equally the next gen is all about maintaining Serie C status and it's difficult to see if the club would sack Montero anytime soon given his status as the club.

Schira is saying Montero might get sacked, Juve are looking at 3 other managers. Can’t happen soon enough. There’s a talent gap between primavera and next gen, but they aren’t or shouldn’t be this bad.
