It's an important development for the Juventus Museum. From today, the museum dedicated to the history of the Bianconeri officially becomes part of the "Turin Piedmont Museums 2013" season ticket, making it now one of the most important museums in the region.
The deal was signed by Paolo Garimberti, president of Juventus Museum and Michele Coppola, rotating president of the Association of Turin as European Capital of Culture, and councillor for Culture in the region of Piedmont.
This now means that holders of a "Turin Piedmont Museums 2013" season ticket (around 90,000 in 2012, accounting for 400,000 visits to museums in the circuit) will be able to explore the Bianconeri’s history. A unique opportunity for football fans everywhere, not just Juve supporters.
Paolo Garimberti was keen to emphasise this last aspect at the end of the meeting: "This is not a museum in which we only talk football, we tell the story of the club but also of Italy in general as Juve’s century-old history has often been closely linked to our nation’s. The Juventus Museum is a museum of Italian football and even those who are not Juventus fans can find interesting things to see and do. Today, with the museum joining the Turin circuit, we’ve confirmed that the Juventus Museum is a veritable cultural institution."
Councillor Coppola also welcomed the move: "It’s a day of celebration, from today the Juventus Museum joins the other 201 museums in Piedmont and this is big news for everyone. We can all discover history, bringing sport and culture together. This initiative from the Piedmont Turin Museums is becoming ever more successful and offers a broad range of cultural activities. And today thanks to the Juventus Museum, there’s an extra star on the horizon."
