I think that the shot was readable and obvious more than Meret's save.Bad shot!

It's harsh. The keeper has done tremendously well to get up off the ground and back across to make the save. A heavier keeper e.g. Di Gregorio probably isn't getting there.

There was only one place he could put the shot, he couldn't do anything about that.

Who made that pass leading to Yildiz's chance? That was a lovely pass

Yeah, it was Thuram, but everything was excellent. Cambiaso wins a ball, pass to Nico, Nico to Thuram who makes a top pass to Yildiz (Kolo Muani with a dummy), then a dummy by Yildiz. In 5 seconds we went from their ball in midfield, to a 100% chance for us. Quick passing and movement does that, even though our last two coaches did everything so we'd forget what can be done with fast forward passes and good off the ball movement.

We played an excellent half and deserved to lead.

Great debut from Kolo, Thuram's been dominant in the middle of the park and our backline has been pretty solid. Should've been a clear 2 goals up tho.
