I liked Locatelli, as much as I disliked a lot of our players tonight. The one I'd replace at half time already is Mbangula.

Frustrating half. We've played quite well but abysmal defending has cost us. Gatti is in a poor position, Kalulu gambles on a ball which he really shouldn't have, our goalkeeper is scared to leave his line and McKennie lets 3 players in front of him.

Locatelli and Thuram have been good. I actually think Koop has been okay, he set up Vlahovic for his chance and if he showed any willingness to get in front of his defender would have set up another for him.

McKennie at left back is a worry. He's going for balls/challenges like he is in midfield and forgetting there isn't a line of defenders behind him. Sometimes you need to stand off.

Vlahovic pretty poor. Easy layoffs not coming off, the ball not sticking and not making the runs to get in front of defenders when the ball is in the box.

Conceded one real chance and got punished, Savona and Conceicao both go to cover the same player who cut back to Adli, Gatti ball watching covered no one, Kalulu is small, and three Fiorentina players could’ve scored.

What remains the most frustrating thing is we’ve spent 140 million for two forwards who cannot seem to combine. Aside from the quick free kick Koop lifted in today, I can barely recall them ever being on the same wavelength this season.

The #10 role with this team and its lack of penetration centrally simply doesn’t work. Koop’s shown that he is much more threatening he faces the goal instead of having to play with his back to it.
