I like what Locatelli is doing tbh. Marked tight early on and had to move to find space, but I like his being available for possession and his distribution has been good. Cos of his yellow would likely take him off though. This is a Fagioli game, or somebody out wide that allows Yildiz to come into the 3/4 role.

Nah I liked Thuram so far, he hasn’t been helped by having Loca and Luiz as his midfield partners not really helping him out. He’s had to do it all on his own.

Yeah, if we want to play something even close to resemble modern football, that transition from defense to attack needs to be massively improved. You can’t start each attack with 12-20 touches in your own half and expect to find somebody free in the final third. It was the same with Allegri.

Bringing Fagioli will probably solve the link from defense to attack

When Locatelli has the ball and someone makes a forward run, Locatelli pretends that he doesn't see the run.

That moment was infuriating. You could see the frustration from Dusan as well lol.

Both hold us back too much offensively. They may not be good on the ball but they both need to show a willingness to get forward and stretch the game. Drawing a man away from our attackers could make the difference to find a goal.

What's for sure is the midfield 3 is weak. It's most likely Douglas most at fault as he's easily the weakest. Other two likely doing unseen work covering for him.

I think it will be Locatelli who comes off first tho because of the caird
