If you don't have the midfielder to relieve pressure, the style you are playing doesn't matter.

Fagioli, Locatelli and Cambiaso can't play together no matter what manager umbrella is over their head.

I think some of it is the competition but a lot of it is the players. Locatelli and Fagioli are just both too passive to play together. And they aren't good possession midfielders.

Luiz, Thuram, Koopmeiners, these guys are all great possession midfielders and can get out of a jam.
