Hey -- who else is going to employ 8-year-old Indonesian girls with more hours of work than they know what to do with?? :groan:

I think the worst thing to me about Nike is that they are a marketing company with no real product per se other than the marketing they put as a label on the efforts of others. As such, their "product" should have been pulled from the shelves after Euro 2004 and the endorsement flops every one of their sponsored players turned out to be.

take care of the customer and the product takes care of itself

I have consistantly used Subside for much of my football stuff purchases.

I haven't bought anything from 04-05 season yet, so I'm gonna get all three jerseys and other stuff when they are all on sale (the blue one is not on sale yet).

To those in the US: USD is strenthening (partly thanks to the French and their referendum). When Alan Greenspan raises the interest rates again next week to 3.25%- Euro will fall even further. Subsequently- we will save money on Subside :D

Hate Nike then hate just about every supermarket you shop in, hate just about all the food you eat and hate just about every electronics you own.
I hate my strawberries, yes I do. But somehow I can't stop myself from buying them. I wonder how that is? How can I stop myself?! But they're so yummy...

Anyway wearing any sport brand in general is pretty uncool imo. Wearing a shirt as a 'fan' is perhaps even more pathetic. That's just me though and I do realise I look like a tramp.
Actually, I personally never got the replica/kit/jersey thing. To me that makes about as much sense as wearing physicians scrubs around your neighborhood because you're a fan of the Discovery Health Channel.

I've seen a few programs on European TV where they joke about the lowbrow family that wears nothing but soccer jerseys all the time as kind of a stereotype. There is a little truth to that.

Well here in the US it's perfectly fine, and fine by me as well. I mean what am I supposed to wear when I go play on the soccer pitch?

Snoop why :undecide: ? Tamoil is a company owned by terrorists. If Juve could get rid of them as the sponsor I would be overjoyed.

What's everyone's beef with wearing football shirts? I wear them on matchdays

So do I Graham. Hell, I wear them to school and out sometimes.

I guess in England many people wear football shirts out, so it's become old to some people like Jaecole. Here in the States though you rarely ever see anybody wearing a soccer jersey, so it's a hell of a lot more unique.

    same goes here...

If I see anyone in anything remotely resembling black and white stripes, I prepare myself to give them the approving nod... most of the time though (believe it or not) it's Newcastle :sigh:

I guess it would be a bit more lame in a 'football culture'

Sunday mornings here in SF you will see a lot of people out, rubbing their eyes and getting out the post-Saturday night grog ready for brunch at a greasy spoon, in their Bayern, Milan, or other jerseys. Like Andy says, not everyone and their mother wears them here as they do in other places, so it's not considered uncool.

i think football shirts as a fashion are sort of on the rise here. this year more than ever ive seen loads of them at school. never juve, but ive seen real, barca, valencia, inter, milan, ajax, bayerm, and brazil jerseys and loads of others just at school this year

actually the only man u shirt ive seen at school was one of the kids on my high school team. yea its funny seeing people "proudly" displaying the inter jersey their parents got them :D

Actually, the words proud and inter dont belong within 10 miles of each other

I'm not fan of gaddafi myself too,but I don't know if he is a Terorist or not (let's not discuss that again )

and with your way of thinking, you shoud stop supporting Juve, since it's 7% is owned by a terorist and partner of that Tamoil (terorist) company.

For me I don't care at all. Juve shirt is always a Juve shirt, even if there is Zarqawi's pic on it :dontcare:

You really think I should stop supporting Juve because a terrorist, who gives away his own money to a club instead of using it towards other 'objectives,' owns approximately 7% of Juventus?
